How does AIMF choose which communities to work in?

We conduct needs-based assessments, evaluating factors such as poverty levels, water scarcity, food insecurity, and vulnerability of widows and orphans. Priority is always given to communities with the most urgent needs.

Can my Zakat be used for these community projects?

Yes. Many of our initiatives—such as orphan sponsorships, widow care, and food distribution—are fully Zakat-eligible, ensuring your contribution fulfills both a social and religious obligation.

Can I sponsor a specific project, like a complete water well in my family’s name?

Absolutely. Donors have the option to sponsor dedicated projects such as water wells, hand pumps, or orphan sponsorships, with naming rights and reporting provided for full transparency.

How do you ensure these projects are maintained in the long run?

Sustainability is at the heart of our model. We engage the local community in ownership, training, and upkeep to ensure every project continues to deliver benefits for years to come.
